A stone's throw from the neoclassical Villa Pignatelli, with the municipal gardens in front and the sea just beyond, lies a haven of authentic charm: you can sit outside or inside, where the décor is reminiscent of an elegant tavern. “You only live once, so eat well” is the motto here, and when you see the dishes arriving at your table, you can't help but agree. Neapolitan classics executed to perfection and served in generous portions: from “mozzarella in carrozza” (fried mozzarella sandwiches) to cuoppo of fried anchovies, from mixed pasta with potatoes and provola cheese to “candele alla Genovese” (pasta with beef ragout), Neapolitan-style cod and “Pastiera”, all of which are truly unmissable. Reservations? Absolutely! Even for lunch.
