Its name means ‘hunter’ and this restaurant was founded by a hunter-gatherer turned chef in 1987. The second generation took over in 2013 and premium-quality sustainable meats, butchered and aged in-house, remain at the heart of the operation, where the walls are adorned with hunting trophies and the friendly service team are more than happy to offer advice. Go all in and have the Feast menu – a tour of all their best dishes, from house-cured charcuterie to wild venison. If you’re lucky they’ll have some quail – juicy, tender, smoky and delicious.
