A beacon on K Road for over a decade, the warm and welcoming Apéro is the sort of place you’ll wish you had around your corner. The very affable Mo runs the service and the wine – and he’s an expert at both; he’ll likely chat to you about your tastes and appetite and then suggest dishes and the appropriate wine to accompany them. Leslie, in the kitchen, offers an appealing, well-priced menu of French-influenced food, supplemented by blackboard specials. Goat’s cheese croquettes are great with a drink and, as she grew up Toulouse, it makes sense she has sausages on the menu – they’re charged by length and are delicious.
